“No matter how scary the road ahead may seem, never be afraid to chase your dreams.”
Melaina Rayne was born and raised in Louisiana, and inherited her love of storytelling from her dad, who told her and her sister of his life adventures from the time they were old enough to understand the words. Melaina has always been a daydreamer and hopeless romantic with a bit of a wild spirit, and though her bookshelf contains mainly paranormal romance, she believes that a great love story transcends the boundaries of genre. She currently lives in New Mexico with her family, where she is a full-time wife, mother, and writer. She broke into publishing with her jaguar shifter series, The Jagara, and she has many more stories to come from that world, as well as her new romantic fantasy series titled Warriors of Lykarthia.
...to my family, friends, and my loyal readers:
Thank you for continuing to support, encourage, and inspire me. I wouldn't be enjoying this journey as much without yall.
It wasn't until my sister reintroduced me to Christine Feehan's Dark series that I became an avid reader. J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series quickly became one of my favorites, along with Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series.
The books I read began affecting my dreams, and one day, through the prompting of my husband and my sister, I began writing those dreams down. I soon after discovered a new author by the name of Juliana Stone, whose Jaguar Warriors series sparked the dreams that would mark the beginning of my writing career.
My debut novel, Lost Zendori, released June 2013 and book two, The Cherished One, released April 2014. The Jagara Series still has many more stories to come, but summer 2015 I ventured into a fan-awaited new series called Warriors of Lykarthia.
WOL started with Given, a blog story I posted in small excerpts daily on Facebook. As popularity grew with my fanbase (my natives) the story seemed to grow into something I never expected. Gavril's story came a long way since this all started, and now that it's finally finished, it is time to venture deeper into the Lykarthian world.
